The design of this new build restaurant was carefully specified to allow guests to enjoy the beautiful garden space to the rear. To this end, an outdoor dining area was created using three building integrated louvre roof fields, to provide an adjustable waterproof shelter when required. The outdoor terrace space is linked to the main restaurant via two sets of slim sliding glass doors, providing seamless step-free access between each area.
The IQ lux louvre roof system is made up of interlocking aluminium louvres, which can be tilted to any angle to provide solar shading or protection from the rain. The system is fully automated, meaning that that the shading can be altered manually via a remote control system, or set to respond automatically to weather sensors built into the roof to detect the onset of rain or changing position of the sun.
Concealed vertical blinds were also integrated into the design. Controlled via the same remote system, the blinds can be extended to provide a vertical shading option when the sun is at a low angle, ensuring a more comfortable dining experience for the restaurant’s customers.
The IQ louvre roof system can be fully customised to suit any project, including opting for integrated glass doors or walls for a garden room feel. The aluminium frames can likewise be powder coated in any RAL colour or with custom timber finishes.
