This building integrated IQ Lux patio roof has been installed with two timber supporting posts instead of the standard aluminium posts for a unique design. The homeowners required a white aluminium patio roof to be integrated into a timber structure for a more bespoke design. The homeowners chose a white RAL colour for the IQ Lux patio roof to match with their white-framed windows and doors.
This automated louvre roof was integrated into the property to create an external dining space that was easily accessible from the patio doors. Installing a roof for the external space means the homeowners can enjoy their meals and relax outdoors without having to worry about the space overheating in the summer or getting wet in the Winter.
The automated louvres provide shading to the area and are designed with a rotation angle of anything between 0 and 120°. This allows the homeowners to control the amount of shading required to the space at any time. As well as shading, these patio roofs provide shelter as when they are closed they become fully watertight. This helps to keep the homeowner's external space completely dry throughout the year.
Two IQ Lux HeatStrips and a number of LED spotlights were integrated into this automated louvre roof to provide additional warmth and lighting to the external living space. The LED lighting allows the space to be well-lit in duller days or evenings when the homeowners still want to enjoy the outdoors.
