A bespoke architectural IQ Lux louvre patio roof was installed onto this contemporary home featuring a large elevation of glazing. The IQ Louvre Roofs primary use in this project was to reduce the solar gain, shading the double height glass façade leading to an outdoor seating area.
This was achieved by supporting and fixed the IQ Louvre patio roof directly to the wall with extending supporting legs as a contemporary design feature. The integrated drainage system enables the rainwater to directly feeding the flower beds on the patio.
The bespoke architectural louvre roof provides controllable shade and sun to the outdoor living area. As well as protecting the internal areas from the sun and overheating. The large louvre roof also forms a watertight seal protecting the al fresco seating area from the rain. This solution also helps prevent the amount of water hitting the large glass facade and modern patio doors reducing the number of watermarks and splash back on the patio area.
This IQ louvre roof creates a fantastic addition to this home helping the internal and external living areas merge forming the perfect outdoor living experience.
Extending living spaces are becoming increasingly popular with homeowners looking to enjoy their gardens for more of the year and wanting large entertaining spaces for family and friends.
