Al fresco dining space in Italian town with aluminium louvre roof

Sacra Street Cafe

This free standing awning roof was installed as part of a new café in the historic town centre of a small Italian town. The roof provides an al fresco eating space for diners to enjoy in a quiet square within the traditional district, while the electric awning ensures adjustable shading from the hot sunshine.

Opting for a free standing awning system for this café was important, as the building is part of a protected historic centre which would make building-integrated designs difficult to achieve. However, the awning can be easily retracted from within the café, thanks to a remote-control setup that adjusts the amount of exposed roof or shade provided by the system.

The outer frame is powder coated in a warm brown colour, while the awning is finished in a muted silver, designed to match the neutral hues of the surrounding stone buildings and cobbled street.

IQ Outdoor patio roofs are a great system for commercial projects, particularly within the hospitality sector, as their flexibility results in completely bespoke designs to suit the clients of each individual business.
